Kings Lynn
Community Choir
About Us
King’s Lynn Community Choir was formed in 2021 from two smaller local choirs, Simply Sing and the Woottons Community Choir. Each had an enthusiastic and loyal membership and since coming together we have grown in all ways! Due to our increase in size, we now rehearse wherever we'll comfortably fit on Thursday evenings which are filled with song and laughter, led by our talented and charismatic Musical Director Charlotte Şinassi-Hill, ably accompanied by her husband David, our highly skilled and much-loved accompanist. Since coming together, our singing has become more and more accomplished, and we now host concerts in a variety of venues, nurturing a strong relationship with St Nicholas Chapel, where we have welcomed huge audiences and performed concerts to great acclaim. We believe that the joy of singing should be available to everyone, regardless of their experience, and we offer a friendly and inclusive environment for all to learn and enjoy a huge variety of music. Our repertoire covers challenging classics, songs from the shows, folk, pop, jazz…….and much, much more – there really is something for everyone!

Responding to an accurate though disparaging recent comment that we do not audition our singers, we can say that, though the term 'community choir' tends to set some negative expectations, we put heart and soul into our singing, if not a little magic ! Our aspirations are limitless - and, by the way, we've sold out two three consecutive concerts with over 400 capacity !
